PACT Represents Client at Juvenile Justice Team Hearing

Recently PACT attended a Juvenile Justice Team hearing on behalf of our client after approximately $10,000 worth of damage was caused to construction sites in the south eastern suburbs.

The Juvenile Justice Team process is a consultative approach diverting early and minor young offenders from the formal judicial system and further offending behaviour.

It involving a Department of Justice Coordinator, victims, offenders, and other relevant parties. It provides young offenders with the opportunity to understand the real consequences of their actions and take responsibility for their behaviour.

It was encouraging to see the young person take ownership of his actions and express genuine remorse. We hope this experience helps steer him back on track to becoming a valuable member of society. His parents were also highly supportive and fully understood the severity of his actions.

A great reminder of why reporting crime matters—ensuring accountability and helping shape better outcomes for everyone involved.
