0500hrs on Wednesday 25/1/23 a male and a female were observed by a neighbour breaking into a Terrace Homes site in Archerfield Road, Bushmead. The offenders quickly left the scene in a vehicle with a microwave oven and cooktop.

Whilst continuing to conduct inquires and liaise with Western Australia Police Force, PACT investigators placed GPS tracking devices in the remaining oven and hot water unit onsite.

At 0522hrs on Australia Day the same offenders returned to the scene of the crime and have stolen the oven, still in the box, from the site.

PACT investigators tracked the offenders to a unit complex in Maylands, where a check of the carpark found a male and female asleep in a vehicle, with the stolen gear visible in the rear of the car.

Police attended and arrested both offenders, recovering all property and a set of construction site keys
